I figured I'd create a blog about something that truly interests me, and hopefully interests the average reader as well: What does our future hold? Whether it's about technology, civil rights, the climate, politics, economics, religion, or science... what's in store for us as a civilization? While we cannot truly predict what is going to happen, we sure can speculate.
In order to get a better understanding of what's coming, we must have a better understanding of our past. From technological advances to cultural shifts and drastic changes in societal norms, the past can teach us a lot about the evolution of our civilization and what it might look like 10, 20, 50, or even 100 years into the future.
For example, we've seen in just the last 30 years, from the invention of the personal computer and the World Wide Web, to the creation of social networking and blogs, that our technology is advancing at an exponential rate. We can expect to see advancements in computing power and artificial intelligence that people 30 years ago would never have thought possible.
So what is next? Stick around and you may find out!
